Aluminium constructed non fire rated glazed roof access hatches come complete with gas spring assisted opening to ensure the minimum of effort to open the double skinned aluminium lid. The lid is filled with CFC and HCFC free insulation with a U-Value of 0.78W/m2K to BS3958: Part 5: 1986. This offers a high level of thermal insulation against heat loss and condensation, together with excellent sound absorption properties.
The 28.4mm sealed glazed unit will comprise Pilkington Insulight Therm comprising 6mm optifloat clear T annealed, 16mm cavity, 6.4mm Pilkington optilam K glass laminated. This sealed unit will have a value of 1.8 W/m2 K. The lid is supported by heavy duty aluminium hinges and features an integral wrap over edge, incorporating double unbroken neoprene seals. The 200mm upstand has a purpose made flashing to accept the roof felt (Supplied by others) flush to 25mm of exterior insulation. The access hatch will be supplied self colour as standard.
M & M Access Ltd can provide upstands to any height required, including raked profiles and access hatches with walk on glass. Also can provide hatches with opaque and smoked glass.
Hatches are non fire rated as standard and can be rated upto 1 hour.
Roofdor / G hatches can be operated by 24V electric motors or pneumatics (gas springs as standard) Electric glazed access hatches can be manufactured with the actuators hidden from below.
Hatches can be polyester powder coated to ANY standard stock RAL colour.
